At just 24 Andy is Queen's longest serving player and has made the most appearances for the club. Was almost ever present last season and was runner-up in all of the Player of the Season awards. Despite the club signing three central defenders during the close season Andy has forced his way back into the side and is the most consistent performer on the park.

Another excellent signing by John Connolly, Paddy provides a level of versatility that is so rare in the modern game. Happy at left back, right back or further forward he is a true Mr Versatile and it was no coincidence that the sides performances suffered last term when Paddy was missing through injury.

Bowser joined from Unibond premier division side Gateshead in February 2002, an attacking midfielder who scored no fewer than fifty one goals in his one hundred and eighty eight appearances for the North East side. His performances at Gateshead attracted the attention of a number of league sides with Norwich City, Oxford United amongst others interested in capturing his signature.

Came to Queens this close season after five years at Arbroath where he picked up the Player of the Season award in 1998/99. Formed a solid partnership in the heart of the Red Lichties defence with Jim Thomson during the later half of their promotion winning season and is continued that partnership and form this season until an injury on a frozen pitch in January forced him out, has only recently been fit enough to be considered for selection.

Young striker who joined Partick Thistle as a youngster and has come through their youth setup to turn professional with them. Competition for first team places is keen at Firhill at the moment and he joins Queens on a one month loan deal, a similar spell on loan at East Stirling earlier in the season saw a goals return of seven from nine games. He is known as a very pacy forward and may be just what is needed to boost the firepower of the Doonhamers.

An excellent signing by John Connolly, John O'Neill came in in mid February 2001 and immediately forged a great centre-of-the-park powerhouse with Graham Connell. Northern League top scorer with Newcastle Blue Star in 1999/2000, then Second Division top scorer last term, his first in Scottish football, scooped all of the Player of the Season awards. A real aerial threat, holds the ball up well and makes good lay-offs to advancing midfielders. Has found the goals more difficult to come by this season and has been used as a substitute in the last few games, his introduction often swinging the match in Queens favour.
