MATCH SUMMARY
It was a dour struggle at Ochilview between two teams still searching for form.

Queens started off reasonably promisingly with first Stevie Mallan then Mark Weir both failing to hit the target with good chances, then a terrific Mark Weir cross could find no takers as it flew across the area.

At the other end John Hillcoat made a good stop and George Rowe a timely tackle to thwart the eager Stenny frontmen.

The first half ended with a good Stevie Mallan header being palmed out by Hamilton in the Warriors goal and John Dicksons follow up effort also well saved.

The second half saw Queens emerge with more purpose in their play and Mark Weir blasted over then hit a post with Charlie Adams failing to hit the target with the rebound.

It wasn't until the last ten minutes however until the match really came to life and it was Queens who lit the touchpaper with new signing John Dickson picking up the ball twenty five yards out and delivering an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner of the goals.

The travelling Doonhamers fan's joy was, however, short lived as only three minutes later an eighteen yard effort from Ross Hamilton went in off the post and Stenny were back on level terms. Worse was to follow as a mere four minutes later a cross was headed into the back of the net by the experienced Graham to leave Queens ruing missed chances.
